During the war I lived at 10 Chestnut Road, and would often walk down to Sandy Road to buy sweets. I often looked in Cow Shipping, where the owner, Mr Baxter, would milk his cows.
During one bad air raid the dairy was blown up and the cows were blown into the trees in my road.
