My mother sitting in the chair
Wondering where her babes where,
Sent away for safety, so they said
Oh! Where are they resting their little heads
I didn鈥檛 want to see them go
I just wanted to see them grow
To hear them laugh, to see them play
To love and hold them every day
Their beds are empty, their clothes have gone
My daughter and my sons have gone
To the country out of harms way,
All I can do is wait and pray
Please God take care of them this day
END this war, take the pain away
Dear God this should not be, my children belong to me
They shouldn鈥檛 have had to go away to strangers
People so far away
Their little lives have just begun they should be
Full of laughter and fun
Not full of fear bewildered and sad
Wondering what鈥檚 happened to Mum and Dad
Wondering why we sent them away, and not
All together not even for a day
A loving family torn apart
A Mother with a bleeding heart
What can mankind gain from this
A WAR is just a deadly kiss.
