The brass Thunderbolt given to me in exchange for a German Helmet

I still have a brass model of a Thunderbolt fighter (see picture) thatwas given to me in exchange for a German Helmet.

Lots of us went to Harwich on a trip from school after Flushing had been liberated to see the Navy at Parkestone Quay. i ended up getting a captured German Helmet.

The Americans would have given any thing for that Helmet and I was able to exchange it for the brass model. It was originally was mounted on a 50 Calibre round now sadly lost
