My Grannie was a Nanny in London. One night the air raid siren sounded and chaos errupted in the house as everyone hurried to dress and leave. The Lady of the house was crying out for my Grannie, calling 'my leg, my leg!'When Grannie got to her, she was in a state. She had been trying to put on her underwear and thought that one of her legs had been blown off as she couldn't find it. In fact, she had put both her legs throug one leg hole in her knickers!!!

This story still made Grannie cry with laughter 50 years later!
