Just a short story. Joined the RAF in June 1940 served till july 1946 4years abroad. In all that time I had no training. Not one days squarebashing. half a day at Padgate with the lee Enfield and half a day with the Sten. Took part in the ivasion of Madagascar 1942 with 1433 Flight Lysanders and at Majunga. In 1944 hiched hike across the Sinia Desert from haifa to Alexandria via cario and back via Jeruselem. Flew down to Bahrain in a Sunderland Flying Boat belonging to BOAC via basra. The Eurasion women are the most beautiful women I have ever seen. Came home accros France by rail 40 men or 8 Horse . Slat seat in the carriges. Demob in July 1946 still no traing Oh. I did attend a course at Farnborough which I had applied for befor I left England City and Guilds, did not complete because my number was up. Tony C&B
