This is a photo of Sheila Fenn in June 1940, evacuee with her mother on the left and her ‘hostess’ on the right in Aberdare, South Wales.

This picture was submitted by Sheila.

This was the first time since she was evacuated in 1939 that she had seen her mother! She did not see her family again until she returned to Ilford, Essex in 1941/42 to take her school exams.
