My Granddad, John Carr went to the cinema one night with a friend during the war times. After the film had finished they walked back along the railway track and as they were walking they saw a parachute falling from a plane onto a field. John and his friend thought it was a German spy so they decided to get him. As they were running through the field the parachute was getting lower and lower. And as it was nearly at the ground they realised it was a bomb so they ran for their lives but luckily the parachute got caught in the trees and didn鈥檛 blow up.
