My Grandma wasn't evacuated. She lived in a market town. All she can remember was getting her gas mask and practicing the air raid in the downstairs of the Church.
My Grandad wasn't evacuated. Evacuees from Sunderland & Manchester, and some English servicemen, stayed in his house. He was 8 when the war started and 13 when it ended.
