Exploding Incendary Bombs

The first incendary bombs that exploded were dropped on Bedford in 1943 I think. I lived at No.16 Irvin Road and Mr Ibbot, living at No.15 was hurt trying to put one out. I think another man was also hurt. We had one drop in our garden and it blew up the rockery! I also saw the German plane drop the bombs near the station. The warning siren went off afterwards!
