Family tradiition every year to make xmas pudding. In 1939 Ray's Mum bought all ingredients (flour, fat, dried fruit, fresh eggs etc) and made enormous puddings enough puddings were made for Ray and his family to have a Christmas Pud every year until 1945. Ray laughs and says he was one of the very few families who had the luxury of a pud each year. Puddings were made in white ceramic bowls and covered with a cloth and stored in a tin trunk under the stairs.
Ray and his wife are still using grandma's recipe to this day.
