During World War Two Cavendish Road was bombed. Running parralel is Lansdowne Road interlinked with Park Road.
I was standing at the cornor of Lansdowne Road and Park Road when German Aircraft bombed Cavendish Road.
During the raid a cobblestone was blown into the air, crossed over our houses and dropped down about 2 - 3 feet in front of me.
I was only 13 - 14 years old at the time and, needless to say I was very frightened.
