I was in Europe - Normandy, Holland and Germany. I spent 2 years in Germany. The Germans seemed to be very keen in giving themselves up as prisoners of war in droves. Wherever we went where there were German soldiers they came out with their hands in the air giving themselves up as a POW. Obviously they didn't want to fight. I think most of them ended up in a camp in England - so I believe.
We captured a very important German General Keitel.
