At 7 a.m. on the morning of 3 September 1939 my father in law (aged 13) clealry recalls going for a w alk on the dunes near Hemsby - weather clear and dry - when he saw a Dornier 17 German air force bomber flying westwards from the coast going inland.
Does anyone have any recollection of knowledge of this aircraft or its flight? Neither the RAF nor the Luftwaffe have any record of the flight. Does anyone remember the aircraft, or heard of the flight?
