I have asked my granny Pat and grandad Bill to tell me in there eyes what happedned i have made some qwuestions for them to answer and they have.
From the eyes of my Grandad Bill
1Q What were your immediate feelings when the sirens went off?
A the feeling was it a real Air Raid or just a false alarm.
2Q How old were you?
A I was 10 years old when the war started, 11-12 for the ffirst two years of the war and i was 12 when the Clydebank Bl;itz happened.
3Q Did you lose anyopne close?
A No i didn't lose anyone close but i was just a few miles from where i stayed high explosive bombs being thrown down, i lived in Maryhill a the time.
4Q Was your house hit?
A No because I lived in Maryhill byut there was some some shrapnel being thrown at us!
Q were you an Evacuee
A NO
5Q How do you feel abiout now?
A Well its an experience i will never forget.
