My late dad Robert (Bob) Baptist served in the R.A.F. in WW2. His job was a Fabric worker. He had a posting to H.M.S. Eagle where he patched up the aircraft, Swordfish etc. His workplace was a cubby-hole half way down the lift shaft. Surely he wasn't the only one to do this. Was there any other R.A.F. blokes doing this sort of job? Is there anyone who might remember him? I've got lots of photo's of then as well.
