Were you alive during WW2?
>Yes.

Did you live around this area (Cumbria)?
>Yes, I did.

What was it like?
>I can't really remember, I was pretty young then. From what I remember it was quite terrifying.

What can you remember happening?
>Not much, all I really remember is that my Uncle was killed fighting in the war...or maybe that was WW1...but I only know that because my dad told me.

What else did your dad tell you?
>He told me that my Uncle was a very brave man to do what he did and that it was a scary time of his life, that's all.
