There was a forces paper called SEAC — South East Asia Command which came out monthly I think; and in it there was always a picture to remind us of home. That’s the only paper we had in Burma.

Message 1 - SEAC

Posted on: 13 December 2005 by Muriel Palmer

This a message for Becky Baraugh from Muriel Palmer volunteer Age Concern Shrophire Telford & Wrekin.

I have just read the story you have submitted about the SEAC Newspaper.

One of Graham Shepherd's (another AC volunteer) authors has lent me a Souvenir copy of the Paper published in August 1944. In this edition the seven months' battle in Burma is described. This covers the period of the 2nd Arakan campaign, the campaign my father took part in.
