during the war years ihad 4brothers in the navy i was about 8 yrs old my eldest brother jack wason submariens the first one catchalot when we kid splay in the streetand the telgram lads would call at peoples houses with telegrams and in most cases
it was bad news.one day my mother recieved 3 telegrams jack killed in acton mick missing,dave missing.the following day'2 telegrams both mick
and dave were ok 2 years later on christmas day there was aknock on the front door iopen there stood a big raf sgt and ask for my mam or dad my dad came up and the Sgt siad have you got a son john green my dad said i did have but he his dead
hes not your son is alive and well he is aprisoner of war with the itiansa few months later he was repratiated and came home he was home afew weeks and
