I think it was 1941, when THE bomb dropped in Harrogate. It fell on the Hotel Majestic -did little damage and no-one was killed or injured.There were many speculations as to why the bomb had been dropped, my favourite was that the bomber crew had been waiters at the Majestic and were getting their revenge. Part of the bomb was displayed in a local shop window and was "admired by many" .
