I remember walking with my mother pushing a pram, 4 children by her side along the street. My mother was profoundly deaf. I heard a plane and alerted my mother, my mother pushed us into an entry, as plane shot bullets. We waited then went on our way.
We were evacuated to the Handsworth hotel, and I remember feeling the building shake!
