Richard Clark's brother Harry visiting his memorial

Hi Alan,

I am sending you the photograph that my cousin Harry (in the photgraph) sent to me last year. I am not too sure just when the memorial service in Singapore was held, but only a couple of years ago as far as I know. The bodies of 5/6 soldiers had been recently discovered and they must have located dog tags in order to identify the remains.

Harry was going to send me some more information on this but he sadly passed away on Oct 15th 2005. I checked the Hull Daily Mail website and saw a few Bereavement notices had been placed in the paper, one of which is from the Burma Star Association:

CLARK.- Harry. Deepest sympathy to the family on your sad loss.- Burma Star Association.
Published: 19/10/2005

On the back of the photograph was the following inscription:

HUSING D.
The Memorial Plaques, Kranji Cemetery.Singapore.

Margaret Taylor
