I am sat here in my room using my PC, looking at the photographs of my great nephew and his friend and I'm thinking "How Lucky We Are". The photos were taken in July this year (2003) when I took them to Eden Camp, North Yorkshire -used to be a prisoner of war camp - and they were playing hide & seek; he was with his sister and her friend and no-one realised the sadness that went before them. They could not relate to the reason for the existence of these huts. They had a memorable day and I appreciated this because my sister was born in 1941 and still has memories of hiding away from exploding bombs. I have visited many war graves and have been horrified at the age of the young men who have died and I certainly feel grateful for the the scarifices made. Both my parents served during this period and "consequetly" died in their fifties, as not doubt, had their fellow countrymen. My sister is reluctant to expand on this life experience, so I am telling it on her behalf ...... yours gratefully
