I remember when we were in the laman railway desert and at the end of the war, the coronel told us to wear english clothes for an end of war parade. We were wearing italian white wollen socks, german canvas boots (they were very comftable!) while the germans were wearing our shorts, they stole when they raided. They didnt have their own, they only wore trousers!

WE WERE A LOT HEALTHIER.

AS I WAS BORN IN 1938 SO I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THINGS THAT ARE TAKEN FOR GRANTED NOW,SO I NEVER MISSED THEM.
I CAN REMEMBER WONDERING WHAT ALL THE FUSS HAD BEEN ABOUT WHEN I FIRST TASTED BANANAS.
