We were on a farm then during the war. It was in Rossett. It was all work from morning to night. There were four of us children, and they all became farmers too.
I used to go to the farmers dance sometimes, at the Wynnstay in Wrexham. My father would take us, but we鈥檇 have to find somebody to bring us home, as he had to be up early in the morning, to milk. And it had to be at Rossett station at 8 o clock, the milk did. That went to Edge Hill, Liverpool.
