We lived in some flats on the top floor. There were some bomb shelter outside the flats. But when the sirens sounded for an air raid instead of us using the shelters, we use to go to this ladys ground floor flat. There were 3 children in my family and this lady had about 6 children.

The memory I have is of about 9 children huddled together underneath one dining room table.
