===================================
My nan lived in the east end of London,she had an air-raid shelter at the bottom of the garden. After the sirens went off they went down to the shelter as usual and when they returned after being given the ‘all clear’ they found that they had no house and their dog had died.

I don’t know where they went to after that, but she’s ok and still alive at 82.
