This is my mum, Gina Pavan, and dad, Leslie Angell on their wedding day.
My dad, Leslie Angell, was in the RAF during the war. Stationed in Italy, he served in a mobile radar unit which travelled up and down the country. He met my mum while stationed near Venice. Her family owned a bar near Tessera and after the war she travelled to England where they married. My mum didn't really speak any English. She arrived by boat but missed meeting my dad. A Polish solider she'd met looked after her and took her to London and contacted my dad in Cardiff to let him know where my mum was. My mum said she wasn't at all worried as she said she always knew he'd come.
