Natasha has recorded a Second World War memory on behalf of Tom and Doris Jacklin
This story is located in London, Rotherhithe.
Doris was a civilian and Tom was in the Army – Grenadier Guards
Dad was doing grenadier guard duty at night, mum was at home on her own, she thought she heard bombs dropping all night so she hid under the table, but when dad came off duty in the morning he said there were no air raids last night, but they found out the windows of the house were open and had been banging all night due to high winds.
