Here I am at 19 years old, having just had a haircut! (1941-42)
This photo and caption were submitted to the People's War site by K. Helsby of Congleton Library on behalf of John Gibson and has been added to the site with his permission. The author fully understands the site's term and conditions.
On the band of my had are the three coloured stripes -- blue, yellow and white. An Arab fellow took this photo as we weren't allowed to have cameras with us in case we were captured.
