Leaflet with the royal coat of arms given to each of all the children in our school in Long Sutton, Lincs Both sides shown
1. So far as I can remember the leaflet with the royal coat of arms was given to each of all the children in our school in Long Sutton, Lincs
2. I was told (long ago) that I was taught to read and write well before I went to school by my mother and an old lady, that we called 鈥淕ran Warrick鈥 (tho鈥 she wasn鈥檛 a grandmother) and that a 鈥減arty piece鈥 was to read the progress of the war to old people in the village who couldn鈥檛 read. The newspaper was always the Daily Express, then a broadsheet. I do remember the cartoons by Giles and Strube.
