Portrait and caricature of Sergeant Major Eaton
My father was in the Royal engineers he was rescued at Dunkirk and made his way to the sea via Lille. He died in Jan 1998. With his papers we found 2 sketches by a C.W.Hemingway. The sketch in coloured crayon of the Sergeant Major was signed Heming and the pencil sketch has a note on the back where my Father has written that one of the lads had done these sketches and that "Heming" is a member of The Royal Accademy. I would love to know if anyone knows if this gentleman is still alive or any members of his family.
