Ralph Rayner - aged 17 1/2 - Royal Engineers.
Sapper training at Newark 1942. Posted to newly formed Assult Engineers in 1943.
Trained for D.Day in Suffolk and landed on D.Day H.Hour operating armoured bulldozer to clear beach obstacles in conjunction with Naval Commando's to allow the main assult forces through.
Part of the 79th Armoured Division.
