i was at school at the time, i was about 10-11 years old, i can remeber having to carry gas masks around with us, and the air rade shelters and how thay were so cold. the werest thing about the war was the rations how all the food was rationed the fing i hated was you did not get many sweets, you also had couponce for clowes and if you had big feet you had more coupoins, i can remember wereing wooden cloges they were very un confituble.
we used to grow awear own vegtobles so we could have more food.
the main thing i can remember was the partys when some one got married we all usto werk to gether to gether with the cake and all the food.
i can rember all the propergander that was on the radio.
i can remeber when the air rade sigrone went of wo had to run down the stairs and out the house in to the air rade slelters it was cold and damp down there and there was now lights aloud on at night so you could not see where you were runing.
my mum used to work in the amunition facture and my dad used to work down in the pot banks.
and i can also remeber the refugies there were a fuw were i lived but there were a lot more in cheedle i can remebe one girl she came from london.
