I was a flight engineer on Stirliing aircraft. When we were not bombing we did supply dropping to the French Resistance. Once we had 21 containers which held supplies of anything they wanted to fight the Germans; I remember flying only 250 feet above ground and by moonlight so that the Germans wouldn't pick us up on their radar. We navigated by map all the way to the drop zone and then let go supplies including things like car tyres and bike tyres. Once all 21 containers were empty we flew back to Tempsford.
I also remember square bashing on Liverpool Front.
