This story took place before i was born.
Mom and Dad lived in ST Lukes St Cradley Heath,
and during the second world war Dad worked for the Midland Red, driving the buses.
He used to tell me about driving through air raids, but on this one night in particular the air raids over the Birmingham area were very bad.So Dad decided the best thing to do was to head for home, taking the bus and conductress back to St Lukes St, and wait for the air raids to stop, before taking the bus back to Oldbury Bus Garage.
This must have been a strange sight to see
a double decker bus in St Lukes St.
The End.
