HI! Im Leslie Hughes.Im now aged 82 and i would like to tell you my wartime history.I did my basic training in Morcombe,Scegness and Halton.Was then transferred to Turnberry in Scotland as R.A.F Groundcrew (i also met my wife Rose).I was sent to R.A.F Waterloo, West africa, Where i spent 12 months Flying Decota's testing airframes in Dackar and Lagos.On my return i was posted to West Kirby on the Wirral and Silthoff where we celebrated V.E Day with a game of football. A Brief visit to Kinloss before i was Demobbed at sheds outside Wembley Stadium. I went back to Scotland to pick up my bride before moving back to the Wirral where i still live.
