This is the story of a little girl whose father was in the war. She was born in 1939 on the day war broke out. Her mother used to tell her your father is fighting for his country but the little girl kept crying for her father; she was too young to realise what the war meant.

As the war went on the little girl grew up. She kept hearing things about the war until one day the war came to an end. It was 1945 and her mum got a letter to say her husband was coming home. When he did come home the little girl had grown up to be a six year old. She would not go to her father when he first came home. All she would say was 鈥榊ou are not my Daddy. My Daddy is fighting the bad soldiers. It was not long before the little girl realised it really was her Daddy. Her mum showed her a photograph of her dad. After that it was a lovely family reunion. She would not leave her father鈥檚 side which made him very happy and relieved that his daughter knew him at last.
