I remember the bonfires.
In each street we collected wood, trees and rubbish for these.
We stored it in each others back yards.
We were very territorial and we attended our own bonfire in our own street.
We had wonderful races and competitions in the streets and we had a roundabout and a real horse and if you turned a handle it went round.
There were pianos in the street and food that we weren't used to.
Everyone joined in.
The parties seemed to go on all night.
These parties were very joyeous and bring back good memories.
People dressed up and the shops gave us food.
