All my brothers joined the army straight from school; Clive in the Tank Corps; Len and Roy, Engineers and Garfield, Airborne.
Clive was in Tobruk twice, he was seriously wounded in the first campaign, then sent back to North Africa and taken P.o.W.
Len was stationed at Hong Kong and was P.o.W. all the war.
Roy was stationed in India and was sent to North Africa where he was taken P.o.W.
Garfield was sent back to win the war, which they did!
My Mother and Father were very proud of their sons. My Dad was in the Navy, 1914-1918 and came home unmarked. More than my brothers did, they all carried the marks of war.
They鈥檝e now all gone to the big places in the sky. But, my younger Sister and I will always remember them all with Great Love for what they did for us, our grandchildren and mankind.
