I lived on a farm in Barking Tye. We had a tin roof on a barn there and the
Jerries used to sweep low and riddle it with bullets. They even set the
straw alight. We have still got the bullet cases! But we had a good time
overall. As we were on a farm we had lots of eggs and milk and we didn't
lose any cattle. My brother and I used to live on the farm with a cousin -
my brother still works there.
