This is Emma Walker of Southmoor Comunity School entering Alan Clark's story onto the websight and they fully understand the websight terms and conditions of use.
During the war, we were looking for shrapnel we looked around this bombed building and we found an unexploded incendiary bomb (its shaped like a small torpedo with a fin on the end) these were not dropped to explode and destroy things they were dropped to cause fires. We told some older boys and they went and got a police man and he picked it up and took it away. Also when I lived in Sandrinham road a land mine dropped on Duke street. Which demolished two houses in Duke street, the same land mine took the roof and the back wall off our house
