We lived in 3 Denis Park Crescent, Wimbledon SW20 during the war, my brother Allan, parents George and Doris. I was a child.
The St Andrews Church in Wimbledon managed to get a curate for the first time. His house was bombed. One isolated bomb. His wife and unborn child were killed outright.
That wasn't pleasant. He was just unloading as he was going back we think. He was so unlucky. It wasn't a target area.
