My Grandfather served in the Army during WW1. I have in my posession a wallet with some picture postcards that my Grandfather took from the body of a German soldier. These cards depict individual photos of soldiers, a unit , and what I can only assume is a family member or sweetheart. I would love to be able to return these to the soldiers current living family. Some of the cards are written in French and some are written in what I have been told by a German friend is and older form of German and he cannot translate it. most of the writing is very faded but I'm sure with modern technology could be enhanced. I would like any help or advice on what to do next and how to go about returning these items to the rightful owners.
