I started work in George Wade,Manchester Pottery for 6 nights a week 8pm to 8am for 拢2 per week when I was 15 years old.I was making tank parts.I worked in engineering all my life after that.During that time I witnessed a man lose part of his hand on the next machine.The facortories only got manitenance done if they were prepared to take on war work
I had a cousin in Africa in the SAS equivalent of the day. He was fromn Southport.
We had a shelter in our back garden
