My name is Ivan Hoath and the location of my story is Derbyshire. We were in training and it was snowing and everyone had only three thin blankets to cover them. Nobody had guns or rifles and we spent three months marching up and down with a broom for our only weapon. Then we went to Africa-we were the first ones there and we spent six years there. I didn鈥檛 see my wife again for 6.5 years.
