Sheila was a lovely little girl. She lived with her mother, Lily, whom she she loved dearly, and her father, Henry (more comonly known as Harry), who to her was the world; he thought the world of her too. There was also her little baby brother John whom in her eyes she couldn't see the reason that he was around.

They lived in a three bedroomed terraced house in Ward End, Birmingham, all through the war.
During the Blitz in 1940 in Birmingham was bombed and their area suffered badly, her mother and father were worried about Sheils and decided that she was to go and stay in Lancashire with her Aunty, her brother John was to young to go. She was told that she was going to go and live with Aunty Elsie and being eight brought it on as an adventure. She packed her bag and said her good byes and her mother and her went on the train to Lancashire. When they arrived they were greated by tea and biscuits.

Her mother stayed the fist night and left in the morning. Sheila settled down well and made friends at school she was happy, and wrote to her family reguarly and could say lived happily ever after.
But one day at school she went up to her teacher and out of the blue said, "My Mommy is coming to get me and take me home" The teacher looked quite shocked and sent a note home saying.
"Mrs Baldwin,
Is it true that Sheils will be returing home?" Elsie answered with no but wrote to Lily and Harry. Harry was the one that made the final desician that if they were going to die together. And they all made it through the war though had many misses and adventures, but there different stories.
