My Mum and Dad lived at Hilders Bungalow, Redding Street on the Appledore Road out of Tenterden.
Dad was in the Home Guard in Tenterden Church spires looking out for German Bombers.
There was a Dornier (a yellow nosed German bomber.) He came down and said to someone "Go get some water" and while he was gone they set the plane alight so intelligence couldn't get hold of it.
