Hi Penelope:
I have added a brief detail of the subject matter as suggested.
The information on the website www.huddersfield1.co.uk includes details of my experiences when parachuting into Normandy with the 7th Battalion (L.I.), The Parachute Regiment, 6th Airborne Division, on the night of 5th/6th of June 1944, ("D" day), and my subsequent capture by German Forces thirteen days later.
It also it describes my life as a guest of the German Governnment on an enforced weight reduction excercise in various POW camps.
Sincerely
Eric (Bill) Sykes.

to
eric (bill)sykes, my wife and I recently returned from Normandy and the site of the bridge now named the Pegesus Bridge. Captured in ten minutes by the 6th airborn glider troops, and relieved by Lord Lovat and his troops who as the story goes apologised he was 2.47 mins behind schedule. What an accomplishment, the story should be told over and over again. Offside Norm
