Us as a Wartime Couple at a re-enactment
We are getting married on July 16th this year, both being interested in World War 2 history, we have decided to have a Wartime themed wedding. All our guests will be in costume from the period and the band "Sentimental Journey" will be providing music from the era.
Vehicles from the period are involved, with our replica World War 2 Jeep transporting Groom and Best Man.
We are too young to remember those dark days of uncertainty, but are celebrating the fashions and the fun times that people made for themselves.
Our venue is the lovely pier in Southwold, Suffolk. We are taking our guests back to 16th July 1944 and would love to hear from any couples who were married on this date and of their experiences.
Also we would love to recieve comments on ideas etc for items to include.... our invitations have been sent out as Ration Books. Table Place card will be wartime identity cards !
As wedding favours we are giving our guests 2oz of tea.
