Eileen Hynam’s husband, Frank, was an Able Seaman on HMS Implacable, aircraft carrier (in the background) in Sydney Harbour September 1945 when news of the birth of his son, Philip, arrived by telegram saying ‘Mother and baby boy doing well’.
